ICPE made presentation to Justice Misra Committee on "Plastics and environment", which contained environmental virtues & material economy, waste disposal & industry incentives. The life without plastics, use of plastics ( hygienic and environment friendly ) and the energy consumed, with alternate products not made of plastics, including the resource utilisation with the help of data were presented.Environment and energy are preserved with the use of plastics. The waste recycling in India has a very high rate than other high plastic consuming developed countries. How implication of the government notification is carried out and what more can be done to abide by the norms was outlined in the presentation.
